Catherine and Daniel’s Wedding

I was so excited when I first met with Catherine and Daniel as they described their wedding plans to me. They planned a lovely 5:00 wedding and their reception for Vaughn Towers at Carter Finley (NC State’s football stadium), and being a fellow Wolfpack graduate, I couldn’t wait! Last Saturday was the big day, and boy was it a hot one! It didn’t change a thing, though… they still had a beautiful wedding at All Saints’ Chapel at St. David’s School that afternoon, then we made our way over to the stadium. Catherine was such a sweet and calm bride the entire day. I love brides like her! I also loved her dress.

 

And her bouquet….

 

I was going through the images I got as Catherine was getting into her wedding dress, and I couldn’t help but love this one…

 

Just as I was heading out the door for the wedding that day, I remembered the little cake topper Doug and I used for our groom’s cake when we got married. I ran back inside to get it and was determined to find a use for it.

 

What a sweet moment was Catherine’s brother walked her down the aisle. She walked down that long set of stairs behind her, smiling the whole time, looking at her husband-t0-be. I would have been a nervous wreck coming down that many stairs in front of all those people, but she was as calm and beautiful as could be…

And if there had actually been a football field, you better believe I would’ve taken a ton of photos on it. Unfortunately, they’re working on the field right now, and it’s just a bunch of dirt. Bummer! Guess I’ll have to wait to see the field when we got to some football games later this Summer and Fall. Once we were inside, they went right into their first dance. It was awesome!

 

So was the cake! Have I mentioned how much I love wedding cake?

 

After the cake cutting, the band made an announcement for every one to go outside for a special presentation. Catherine surprised Daniel with a slideshow of the two of them up on the scoreboard for every one to watch. Here they are watching it together…. 

 

The reception was a blast, and I have a ton of fun dancing photos I could share, but I’ll leave you with this one. Such a beautiful ending to such a wonderful day. Congratulations, Catherine and Daniel!
