Going Green…

Who else is in? I know a ton of people have decided to make smarter, more eco-friendly choices this year, as we’ve become much more aware of these things in recent months. Rather than change our lives completely, it doesn’t hurt to make small changes one at a time.

Due to the overflowing drawers of plastic grocery bags in our kitchen and some shocking facts about what happens when we throw away those plastic bags, I decided to search online for some smarter, stronger, and CUTER shopping bags. If you haven’t already, go check out these awesome rip-stop nylon shopping bags – http://www.baggubag.com and order yourself a set. I’ve been using mine for about a month now, taking them to the grocery store, Target, or even to a friend’s house when we’re bringing along snacks, games, etc. You can even pick out your own colors when you order a set… my personal fave is the green. Each bag comes with its own little pouch, so you can just leave them in your car until you’re out shopping or just throw a few in your pocketbook. If you try them and love them as much as I do, I encourage you to get them as gifts for friends and family.

I don’t have any photos of myself carrying my glorious, grocery-filled bags around, but I did snag a couple photos from the Baggu website to share. Go order yourself some!

My next mission… start replacing some lightbulbs and start using a Brita filter and just ONE big, reusable water bottle (and stop buying huge packs of individual bottles of water).

On a photography-related note, I’ve met two awesome couples this week who are potential wedding clients! I’ve also lined up several other weddings for this year, so there will definitely be some engagement sessions to share this Spring!
