The H Family

Now that it’s pretty nice out, I’ve got some great family shoots in the works. This one with the H family a couple weeks ago was so much fun. We met up at Duke Gardens to wander around and get some shots. Here are some favorites…

What a fun moment…

Adorable!

So glad we included the grandparents too…

Love this family shot, dinosaurs and all:)

Love it.

My absolute favorite…

Ok, maybe I have two favorites…

That big grass hill was just screaming for some one to roll down it…

And after doing so great for the shoot, a special treat was in order…

There may have been purple stains involved, but I’m pretty sure he loved it.

Kevin and Lauren

Last month I met up with Kevin and Lauren down at Kure Beach/Fort Fisher for their engagement shoot. The weather really couldn’t have been more perfect, and we had a blast going around to a few different spots for photos. I was dying to do some at Kure Beach Pier, so that’s where we started. And Kevin, thanks for going with the suspenders…. I think they were a nice touch. So were those fluffy clouds… thanks clouds!

I really love this one…

Good call on the parasol, Lauren!

Thank you, lifeguard stand. You were one of my favorite props yet.

Then we stopped by this old gas station for some vintage photo fun…

Our last stop was down by Fort Fisher, where all these amazing trees are.

Kevin and Lauren are so much fun, but they’re also quite creative. These adorable pinwheels are a little sneak peek at what we’ll see at their wedding in June!

Looooove this. Pretty sure it needs to be on a canvas hanging in their house.

Lauren’s son also joined us for the last bit of our shoot, and I loved that we captured some shots of them as a family-t0-be. The boys were having a good time joking around together…

Another favorite… and the only photoshopping here was to add my name in the corner.

Now that’s what I call a family photo… love it!

Can’t wait for the wedding next month! Stay tuned for lots of photos from that!

Baby Colin

I was so excited when Katie emailed to say they were expecting their first baby. I shot her and Adam’s wedding back in 2008, and now they are a sweet family of three. Despite it being a little cooler out than we expected, Colin was perfect and didn’t mind at all. What a good boy!

Look at that face!

Love this one…

Love a baby in a basket…

Love this one too.

Congratulations guys! Hope to see you again soon!

Baby Amanda!

This isn’t just another cute baby, folks. This here is my new, beautiful niece Amanda. She looks SO much like my brother too! When I went to visit last month I had to do a quick little shoot with her…

Don’t you just love little baby features? Ahhh, so cute!

Enjoying a little sun bathing by the window…

And a sweet little grin to wrap up…

Baby Brooks!

Our two year old Ada has a best bud named Rowen, and in January, he and his family welcomed little Brooks to their family. He’s a precious little guy, and I was so excited to head over and get some shots of him in those first few weeks of life. He’s just a little younger than our Harper, so it’ll be so nice having another set of best buds all over again. So how about some photos.

Look at those gorgeous baby blues…

He was and is still such a peanut…

Cuddles with Mommy…

We like to call Brooks “B Goat,” so these little goat jammies couldn’t have been more perfect…

And a shot with big brother Rowen!

Sweet dreams little guy…
