Lindsey and Andy’s Wedding

A couple weeks ago I got to head back to the very church where Doug and I got married over five years ago. This time it was Lindsey and Andy’s big day! It was a little toasty out, but that wasn’t stopping them from having the perfect wedding day. When I arrived, every one was so calm and cool, getting ready, and just enjoying their time together. I always love showing up to a group like that! The guys were hanging out, having snacks and chatting away. Love this first shot of Andy (the groom) with his dad (the best man) sitting next to him…

And once she was dressed, Lindsey and each of her bridesmaids said a little prayer before go-time.

Time for the ceremony…. it was beautiful!

After the ceremony, we braved the heat for a few group shots and photos of just the newlyweds.

Baby Finnian

Meet Finnian…. another adorable baby born in the past month. I’m telling you, if you’re not ready to have a baby any time soon, don’t drink the water around here. Seems like every one is having a baby! In fact, now that I say that… I forgot to mention on this blog that I’m expecting baby #2. Oops! I’m due mid-December, and we’ll find out in just a couple weeks if we’re got a boy or another girl on the way. Very exciting! So I’ll keep you posted. Any way, back to Finn. He’s a cutie! Here are just a few favorites from my shoot with him…

The J Family

We’ve gotten to know the J Family more over the last few years, and they are such great people! I still remember seeing Clara as a small baby… it doesn’t even seem like that long ago! Time sure does fly, though, and now she’s not only much bigger, but even has a baby brother, Granger. Both the kids and Travis and Hillary were such good sports last weekend when we braved the heat for a quick photo shoot. I’m always telling people how important it is to have family photos made, especially with small children who grow up so darn fast! And it’s so much fun for me to capture those moments as well. So here are a few I captured for these guys…

I love this next one of Clara and Travis telling jokes to each other. Every little girl needs a sweet photo with her Dad…

We were all trying to get some good smiles out of Granger… look at that cute grin!

Even though my usual favorites include big smiles and great laughs… this one in particular is so sweet to me. Clara is such a doll, smiling or not…

Baby fever part 3… Brynn, our new niece!

Last up in my big, baby blogathon is our new niece, Brynn. Mary (Doug’s sister) and Braden kept this baby’s gender a surprise, and I gotta say, a lot of us were shocked to find out it was a girl. We thought for sure we’d have another nephew. So we headed up to meet the new addition last week, and let me tell you… this kid is BEAUTIFUL!! She’s a total sweetheart, slept for most of the time we were there, and didn’t mind her little photo shoot one bit. Reminds me that the trick to getting all those sweet sleepy baby shots is to do it within the first two weeks of life… that’s when they sleep the most!! So here are some favorites, starting with ONE awake shot. Hi there!

And I made it even more girly and ridiculous with this big flower headband. Ha!

Must’ve been a pretty good dream (or gas)… look at that adorable smile!

We did not pose her this way… totally did that on her own!

Then we had to incorporate a little Virginia Tech goodness for Braden (who’s a swim coach there)…

Can’t wait to see this little sweetie again and get lots of photos of her over the years…

Baby fever Part 2… Elijah

Here comes another gorgeous baby, folks. This time I was lucky enough to meet and shoot photos of my friends’ David and Lindsey’s little cutie, Elijah. He was perfectly content for the whole shoot, and wide awake too. I usually love getting all those sleepy baby shots, but Elijah was having none of that. He just didn’t want to miss any thing I guess. Look how adorable!!

And look at that sweet little pose!! Oh man, so cute!

For these last few, we used a blanket from Eli’s nursery at home. I love the cool, modern theme Dave and Lindsey used… and it made for some cool shots too.
