Favorites of 2009
2009 was a very busy year, and I’m looking forward to what 2010 has in store. For now, let’s look back at some of my favorites from ‘09…
Have any favorites??
Chris and Emily’s Wedding
Chris and Emily were married the week before Christmas, and I’ve got to say… what a beautiful time of year to get married! Every thing is already decorated, and there’s even a chance of some white snow to top it off. There was just a tiny bit of snow left on the ground from the “big snow” the forecast called for, but it was certainly a cold day! Every thing turned out absolutely beautiful, and I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter couple to work with. And when you have a bride this beautiful, it’s just icing on the cake. The beautiful, oh-so-sweet Emily…
And Tre Bella rocked the flowers once again. They are my FAVORITE florist, and I just love when my brides use them…
The girls were so much fun to work with, and didn’t mind at all when I wanted to shoot this shot while laying in the floor under them. Thanks girls!
The guys were pretty awesome too…
Both Emily and Chris were as calm as they could be and definitely excited their big day had come. What a beautiful moment as they looked each other when Emily was coming down the aisle. I snapped the photo of Chris on the left just a second after the one of Emily on the right.
Then following the ceremony we had about 20 minutes or so to get photos of JUST the newlyweds… my favorite time of the day. Here are just a few of my favorites (the first few with a vintage feel…why? Because I said so).
I really can’t pick a favorite, but I do like this one a lot…
And I just had to take advantage of this beautiful hallway at Church of the Good Shepherd. Loving these lines!
Then it was time to party… at the gorgeous Washington Duke Inn. Speaking of gorgeous, check out their cake!
First dance as husband and wife…
And this folks, is one of my favorite ring shots ever. Chris and Emily had this amazing candy bar set up at their reception, and after playing with several different candies for the ring shot, I realized that the gummy bears were the perfect choice.
Congratulations Chris and Emily! And Happy New Year every one!! I’ll leave you with one last, classic shot. Love it!
Happy Holidays!
I have a handful of shoots I haven’t blogged just yet, but in case I don’t get to it soon, I wanted to say Happy Holidays! If you were a photo client of mine this year, thank you so much for making it a successful year for Lynette Mittendorf Photography. And if you’re a potential bride for 2010, I am only taking a limited number of weddings next year. So if you’re interested in speaking with me about YOUR wedding, let me know ASAP! For now, Happy Holidays…. and look how big Ada has gotten! Hard to believe we’ll be having her first birthday party in just two months.
Ansley and Paul - Just Because
I love when couples want to do a photo shoot just because. Ansley and Paul are already married, so this didn’t really count as an “engagement shoot” like most of my couples have. That’s fine by me! Couple shoots are probably my favorite to shoot, so I was excited, as usual, to make some new friends and try out some new locations. These two are absolutely adorable together, and I have a ton of favorites that I could share. Here are just a few (and by few, I mean twelve).
One for the moms (I told you they are adorable)…
A little wacky, but I love it…
I am loving this one…
And a cute one of Ansley to wrap things up…

Lynette, thank God you found your calling - you’re a genius.
